JULEIGH HOWARD-HOBSON
Death Doesn't Knock Here
Here death comes with no knock
warrants guns drawn black boots
kickinginthedoorsplinteringbreaking
flashofcompressiongrenadegetdownonthefloor
bang.
what the system wants to hear if
it has to hear from us at all
we’re paper dolls
bend some tabs
hang whatever you want on us
nothing ever fits exactly
but since we don’t resist
it all sticks
