I have to wait for a few more days.

They are going to cut into my head to drain the cysts in my brain. I have come to peace with the fact that this needs to be done. I am going to have to have brain surgery. It is so weird knowing I have to do this. My whole left side is non functional. It's like having a stroke. My left side refuses to work. It is a constant struggle to make my body work.

Judy lives in Arizona with her husband and her Giant Schnoodle. She’s been published in the short story anthology “Promises in the Gold,” edited by Dean Wesley Smith, plus several other anthologies. She can also be found in several magazines. She is currently battling Stage 4 cancer.
